3 October, 2014

H.M. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development has recently released the Annual Report 2014 on Financial Inclusion.

The report reflects on the overall progress made in the sector, on key advocacy issues, global commitments, country progress (like reaching rural populations), on the importance of transparency and client protection, and on the road ahead for the near future.

One common theme running through the report includes the emphasis put on the importance of public-private collaboration; a crucial approach that NpM and its members translate to the Dutch microfinance sector.
