Ebola: What impact does the outbreak have on microfinance?

What impact does Ebola have on Microfinance? That is the question that was elaborated on during the 30th edition of the Midi de la microfinance conference that took place on February 26th, in Luxemburg.

The latest edition of the conference focused on the Ebola crisis, a very current topic.

The nearly 100 participants welcomed two guests from Guinea: Aboubacar Demba-Sankhon (CEO) and Lamarana Sadio Diallo, Chairman of the Board of Crédit Rural de Guinée S.A. whom were accompanied by Gilles Goldstein from the Institute for Research and application development methods (IRAM).  All three parties acknowledged the impact of the epidemic on the largest microfinance institution in Guinea.
