Over the past ten years, Wim and Marinus Verweij (CEO) have shaped the transition of ICCO. From a Dutch co-financing organization in collaboration with the Dutch government to a decentralized international organization with not-for-profit and profit activities, working from five regional offices and twenty related country offices.

Wim's energy was focused on setting up new structures, including the internal operations and the realization of the ICCO Group B.V., amongst others with the investment company Capital for Development Partners and Truvalu, a business development company for SMEs in emerging markets. His professional background and experience as an accountant and consultant in business came in handy.

In the national and international context Wim has devoted a lot of effort to more and better cooperation between organizations. As Treasurer, he has also spent his talents in the ACT Alliance, the ecumenical network of 140 church-related aid and development organizations around the world.

Johan de Leeuw, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ICCO: “We thank Wim Hart for all his efforts he did for ICCO. With big enthusiasm he always committed himself to bring ICCO - the ICCO Group B.V., the Regional Offices ánd ICCO Foundation - a step further”.
