We are looking for

An experienced sales and client relationship person to play a leading role in distributing primarily impact bond transactions, issued through our Luxembourg bond platform and marketed over our investment platform www.plumseeds.com, to professional investors in the Netherlands and Germany, and also fund and mandate solutions in the Netherlands. Based in our newly-opened Amsterdam office, the successful candidate will be part of the Sales and Client Relationship team, with colleagues in Zurich, Geneva and London.

 

Job Description

  • Lead the client acquisition efforts in the Netherlands, Germany and potentially other EU countries, helping to grow the third-party investor book for primarily impact bonds (in Germany) but also mandates and funds (in other markets).
  • Ensure a professional sales and relationship management function, including client visits and travelling alone or together with other team members as need be.
  • Build a strong network with potential institutional investors in the Netherlands, Germany and potentially other EU markets.
  • Build strong networks with other departments in the company, primarily pipeline management and research teams, such as to be able to develop a strong understanding of impact bond transactions issued over www.plumseeds.com, and other investment solutions Symbiotics offers, but also to align client needs, expectations and feedbacks with the pipeline development.
  • Supported by Marketing, lead the organization of local investor events, including Symbiotics’ annual roadshow, and act as speaker/moderator at these and potentially other external events
  • At all times ensure all activities fall within what is permissible under local regulation.
  • Ensure regular and complete updates of the company’s CRM systems with relevant client information, including KYC checks, and updated client mailing lists.

REQUIREMENTS

Skills/qualifications/experience

We are looking for a very dynamic person who is autonomous, entrepreneurial and results oriented, willing to work in a small office with team members based in other locations. You should have a strong drive and leadership, management and presentation skills, appreciate to work for a fast-growing company in a dynamic and challenging environment, and have a passion for impact investment in emerging and frontier markets. Additional requirements include:

  • 5-years+ of experience in sales and client relationship with an established client book in target markets
  • Strong understanding of different asset classes and in particular emerging markets and private debt.
  • A true interest for impact investments, sharing our belief that social performance is increasingly important for today and tomorrow’s investors.
  • Strong presentation skills, enjoying the interaction with clients both in individual meetings and larger presentations.
  • Willingness to travel in the Netherlands, to Switzerland and potentially other markets
  • Fluency in German and English, with other European languages, especially Dutch, an additional plus
  • Valid EU work permit and willingness to live and work in Amsterdam.
