Microfinance Fund Consultant

Your role:

  • The Microfinance Fund Consultant will be responsible for the financial planning and reporting for a global microfinance debt fund within a team in charge of the portfolio and fund management reporting to the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors of the Fund.

Your tasks:

  • Maintain and enhance the operating financial models of the Fund. Use these financial models to forecast the financial statements and key financial ratios for the Fund for optimizing pricing and capital management.

  • Coordinate portfolio-related and asset-liability management-related reporting (including recurrent and ad-hoc reports) to the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors of the Fund and present them at their monthly and quarterly meetings.

  • Review and approve quarterly NAV calculations and support audit processes.

  • Proactively improve existing Excel reporting tools and templates and design new ones with the objective of automating reporting through using an in-house database and information management system currently in development.

  • Oversee cash management.

  • Automate certain workflows with the aim of enhancing efficiency and reliability and draft / revise / update internal procedures.

  • A university graduate in Finance/Business Administration preferably with a CFA level II or equivalent certification.

  • With 3-4 years of experience in the finance/fund industry.

  • And 1-2 years of practical experience in financial modelling and in the development of ad-hoc VBA macros.

  • Understanding of microfinance is considered a plus.

  • Aspiring to work for a growing and dynamic firm.

  • Fluent in English - French and/or German would be an advantage.
