Job description

As Senior Legal Counsel you will join the Legal team that currently consists of 6 other members and one General Counsel. As Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for the legal investment and divestment processes relating to the investments Triple Jump makes for the funds and mandates it manages, primarily for Triple Jump’s Fund of Funds mandate. This entails the preparation, review and negotiation the transaction documentation of primarily various private equity funds, and to a lesser degree also direct equity and debt investments as well as the legal administration of the funds and mandates themselves. It includes the coordination of external legal counsel and collaboration with counsel of co-investors in joint fund transactions.

We expect you to be aware of developments in the legal and regulatory environment. You will closely cooperate with our commercial teams and support functions. The position is based in Amsterdam and requires limited travel to countries where Triple Jump is active. Candidates must possess a valid working permit for the European Union.


Job Requirements

  • A law degree, preferably in Dutch or UK law;
  • Experience (> 4 years) in reviewing, negotiating and managing investment transactions in funds (private equity), equity and/or debt transactions;  
  • Detailed knowledge of contract law and financial law, preferably through working at an international law firm or financial institution;
  • Experience of managing external counsel;
  • Capable of independent decision-making;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Culturally sensitive and a team player;
  • Affinity with Triple Jump’s mission and vision;
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, or French preferred.
