20 Years of Inclusive Finance Summer Academy

Overview

Developing finance institutions are undergoing rapid change. Many of them face increasing competition, tougher regulation or are branching out to embrace new market segments. The Inclusive Finance Summer Academy seeks to equip participants with profound technical know-how in one of five subjects areas (operational risk management, SME banking, rural finance, housing finance and digital finance), visit major German institutions related to your elective, and develop a better understanding of current trends in developing communities.

20th anniversary of the Summer Academy

2019 is special as we will celebrate this year 20 years of Inclusive Finance Summer Academy. A special year calls for a special programme. The international Advisory Services from Frankfurt school will continue to follow UN mandate and focus even more in its educational programmes on applying the SDGs. Participants will be given the opportunity to choose between 5 tracks: SME Finance/Risk Management/Housing Finance/Agricultural Finance/Digital Finance and also the opportunity to assist to informative sessions every day, teambuilding activities and to visit institutions related to their specialisation track. This year, the CSEF summer academy will run in parallel to the other 5 tracks. Learn more about the CSEF summer academy.

Our Summer Academy is designed to provide take-home value: what you learn with us in Frankfurt you can straight away apply at your organisation. More than 500 participants can’t be wrong – our trainings are excellent! Yet, most important for the great success of our Summer Academies are the participants themselves! They bring in regional expertise, complementary experiences, and specialised knowledge. Learning from each other is an integral part of our training. In 2019, we expect to welcome participants from more than 50 countries. This is your opportunity to stretch your network all around the globe.

Administrative Details

The tuition fee for the trainings is EUR 3,750 and it covers all training materials and full-board accommodation in single rooms for the duration of training including meals as well as transportation for site visits.

The Summer Academies are fully tuition based and not sponsored. Accordingly, participants have to cover the full costs of the training or find a sponsor. There are few scholarships available. (Please see Scholarship tab for details and register for our newsletter for more information).
