GREEN INCLUSIVE FINANCE

On 22 September 2015, FMO, Hivos and NpM, Platform for Inclusive Finance organized the Green Inclusive Finance Conference.

Green inclusive finance aims to provide access to finance that promotes sustainable and environmentally friendly businesses and investments. ‘Green investments’ have the potential to generate a positive impact on the environment as well as to offer innovative business opportunities. The aim of the event was twofold:

The illustration of a sense of urgency and the possibilities of reducing our footprint by working towards greening the Inclusive Finance sector; a must-be on the sector’s agenda.
To demonstrate real-life practices of successful green inclusive finance business models and contemplate how to upscale/replicate these examples.
